Crate & Barrel’s modern aesthetic feels too ‘adult’ for young renters still figuring out their lives.

We wanted to show that C&B fits into this audience’s lifestyle, and that you can still own high-quality furniture even if you use your coffee table as a dining table.

My goal with the art direction and design was to balance the humor with C&B’s aesthetic. By keeping the layouts and branding clean and refined, I let the copy and products shine while still making the ads visually engaging.

At Crate&Barrel, we say—why not both? We’re here for your perfect moments, those beautifully hosted dinners where the table looks fabulous. And your less-than-perfect moments, the takeout nights on a couch that feels like true bliss. We make modern furniture, but we aren’t pretentious. We’re here to help you live—stylishly, comfortably, and unapologetically—your way.

A home is meant to be enjoyed, not just admired. (Although that’s important too)
